CNM Hosts Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration

Students, faculty, and staff gathered Monday on Main Campus to participate in a variety of activities that acknowledged and honored the rich heritage and contributions of Indigenous communities

CNM proudly hosted an Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration on Oct. 9 on Main Campus to recognize and honor Indigenous communities. Several activities took place throughout the day, including a fry bread demonstration, a dance performance by the local Ehecatl Aztec Dancers, a Native American leadership panel, and a keynote speech by New Mexico State Representative and CNM alumni, Derrick Lente.
